CASE 1.
Innovation and quality in industrial vehicle auditing
In 2017 we were called upon to manufacture a device that would audit buses and trucks leaving the production line, verifying the proper operation of lights and brakes, in compliance with ISO 1185 7-pole and ABS/EBS 24V standards.
We accompanied them during a full workday and immediately began working with our Equipment Division to solve this need as quickly as possible.
We were audited by plant staff and visited by representatives from the company in Brazil, who recognized the excellence of this solution.
CASE 2.
Innovation in automotive spare parts logistics
In 2019, an automotive manufacturer asked us if it was possible to design a warehouse implementation system for spare parts where a single person could prepare truck windshield orders for various models and dimensions.
There was nothing in the local market that could achieve this, nor any prior experience to learn from.
In such cases, the first step of our Equipment Division is to speak with the person who will carry out the task, as well as the end user of the device, to understand the expectations for the solution and the most frequent challenges.
In this case, we analyzed the bulk loading process of windshields, as well as the general loading of spare parts in bulk, and observed that depending on the windshield model, between four and six people were required to handle the component. This posed risks both for the workers and for the potential breakage of the product and resulting scrap.
Within 48 hours we arrived at a solution: using a self-propelled forklift operated by a single person, who places the cart on the spare parts box, and then, using remote control, maneuvers the lines to hang and handle each product.
